Become a Global Academic Partner (GAP) or International Associates (IA) and utilize CIHTMA's resources in your country.

Your school, hospitality or tourism organization, association or consultative agency can be the source for CIHTMA academic courses, curricula and professional development resources in your country. Do this by entering into a formal license arrangement with us.

There are two kinds of licenses available:

The Global Academic Partner (GAP) license helps schools develop well-educated hospitality students.
International Associates (IA) provide training resources and professional certification preparation and exams to hospitality professionals.

Global Academic Partner

Outside the United States and Canada, academic courses and curricula are available only to institutions that have entered into a formal license arrangement with CIHTMA.

The Global Academic Partner (GAP) license is designed to help schools develop well-educated students in their pursuit of either an academic degree and/or academic certificate program in hospitality.

Privileges and Benefits:

Offer CIHTMA courses, areas of specialization, and diplomas
Right to use CIHTMA name and trademark
Availability of a full range of proven educational materials

Students receive globally-recognized credentials

Become a Certified Hospitality Educator Earn the CHE Designation

The prestigious Certified Hospitality Educator (CHE), Certified Tourism Educator (CTE), Certified Travel Educator (CTE), designation is the only professional certification for those post-secondary instructors who teach hospitality. The CHE, CTE, is designed for all educators whether they are new to teaching, seasoned professors, or industry professionals serving as adjunct instructors or lecturers. It is especially useful for those with hospitality industry experience who do not have a background in teaching.

The preparation workshop provides educators with in-depth information about:
